We bred Whimsey to a lovely red Champion dog, CH Jorash Foxway Graceland "Simon". There were7 red pups, 5 boys and 2 girls. They are wonderful, healthy, robust pups. They came here after their breeder/ co owner Deborah Harper gave them such a great start. All but Kendra have gone to their wonderful new homes. (See Happy Homes page) Most likely our next litter will be from Cynthie next winter.
We do not promise pups or keep waiting lists. An interview is required and questions exchanged. If we do not have a pup for you we are happy to refer you to other reputable breeders.
Looking for something a little older? We do place our retired show dogs when available. We can also refer you to our friends in Pembrokes.
Brogan strongly discourages the purchase of any dog from an unregistered breeder or pet shop. The breeder should belong to organizations that require careful breeding. Beware of websites with inexpensive unattractive pups (it's a business with these people). Be very careful when dealing with "brokers" who import many breeds. Also please avoid "designer breeds"... they are simply mutts that are expensive. As an all breed groomer I see many disastrous results of these purchases which are expensive and heartbreaking. Mixed breeds are just that.
Should you consult the advertisements on the AKC web page we URGE you to pursue ONLY those pups whose parents have been tested for hips, eyes and vWd. AKC registration does not an assure you of a quality puppy. Be patient and thorough. We are happy to offer any advice you might need in your search. Three of our most recent litter- Charlie, Kendra and Ticket at 4 weeks. We had 7 nice pups and all but Kendra, who will stay, have gone to exceptional homes. The temperaments and physical attributes in this litter were outstanding.
